Aerodynamic optimization

The optimal utilization of rotor blades’ aerodynamic potential is essential to achieve maximum levels of output. The object of executed modifications is an individual location-based output optimization of wind turbines.

First we inspect the aerodynamic behaviour of rotor blades to determine, if installation of additional flow elements is necessary.

A special configuration of suitable flow elements will be developed based on our experience from inspections.

In doing so we determine the individual size and the position of flow elements e.g. vortex generators, trailing edge flaps and stall vanes.

Aerodynamic modification as a rule improves the flow behaviour of rotor blades. Thus a clear positive impact in performance of the wind turbine can be expected.

If required, our teams upgrade the rotor blades of your wind turbines with suitable flow elements quickly and cost-effective.
